Ch. 17: Death By Volcano
What did you find unique about Alvin Ho: Allergic to Girls, School, and Other Scary Things?
Ch. 16: A Horrific Thing
Family always comes to the rescue! What's something your brother, sister, mom, dad, or another member of your family done to save you in a sketchy situation?
Ch. 14: The Apes of Math
Alvin was put in a pickle during Math class. What would you have done if you were Alvin?
Ch. 13: Rule No. 2
Alvin's dad has taught Alvin two rules -No. 1: Being a gentleman means no hitting; No. 2: No cursing or insulting. What are some morals your parents have instilled in you? Do you think they're fair rules?
Ch. 12: Psychotherapy
Alvin surprises the psychotherapist by reciting Calvin's words while he played Alvin in a card game. Then, he can't stop making Shakespeare comments to her. What Shakespeare comment would you make to "the psycho", if you were Alvin? Mom? Teacher? Coach? Principal?
Ch. 11: The Whole Tooth
Compare and contrast a teacher (music teacher, coach, school teacher, etc.) to Alvin's piano teacher. Use a Venn diagram, drawn or computer template, to show the similarities and differences of these two people. I've attached the template for a Venn diagram to the "Alvin Ho" post on our class blog.
